Management Team

Laura Golden attended Hutchinson Community College and Tulsa Junior College in 1993.  In 1994 she started her journey working with the DD population.  Laura worked at Kansas Elks Training Center for 5 years as a direct care support staff then in a coordination position.  Laura then got married and moved to Topeka, KS.  While living in Topeka, she worked for the Topeka ARC as the Respite/Events Volunteer Coordinator for 2 years.  During her time at TARC Laura was very involved with the TARC Board.   When Laura and her family moved back to the Wichita, KS area she worked for ResCare Life Choices as the Assistant Director of Community Living for 2 years then was promoted to Director of Day/Health Services 3 years.  Laura volunteered and coached Special Olympics for 5 years.  Laura then spent 6 years as a stay at home mother with her son.
 

In January 2010, Laura and her family relocated to Arkansas from Kansas to be closer to her parents.  In August 2011 Laura was very happy to go back to work as a part of the BOST team.  She really enjoys working with the DD population and is very happy to be part of their lives every day!  Laura served as the Assistant Executive Director for DD Services for 4 1/2 years.  
 

In March 2016, Laura and her family relocated back to her home state of Kansas.  Developmental Services of Jackson County offered her the Executive Director Position.  Laura along with the team at DSJC look forward to many new adventures! 

Elizabeth Lewis
Director of Finance

Elizabeth Lewis is the Director of Finance for DSJC serving the agency since 2010. She has extensive experience in the not-for-profit arena, previously working as the Senior Accountant for the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma since 2003.

 

Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 1997 from Northeastern State University at Tahlequah, Oklahoma. DSJC serves as a perfect marriage to her love of finance and commitment to providing quality care to individuals with disabilities.

 

As an active board member of the Interhab organization and her involvement in the community with participation in fundraising events, she is able to consistently be in touch with the current topics surrounding the population of persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities. It is her hope she can be a strong voice on Capitol Hill in advocating for the needs of disability services.

 

In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys golfing and spending time with her family!

Amy Mellenbruch
Health Services
Coordinator

Amy Mellenbruch is our Health Services Manager. She attended Kaw Area Technical School in Topeka receiving her LPN. Amy worked for 19 years for a diverse range of organizations, including a rehab hospital, long term care facility , assisted living/dementia unit, and an asthma/allergy clinic. She is IV certified and educated in wound care.  Amy enjoys being a nurse because  it's never boring and she is always learning new things. Amy is Married with two beautiful teenage daughters, 2 cats, and an energetic dog . She enjoys being creative with baking and decorating cakes, and riding 4-wheelers in her free time.

Jennifer Hall
Resitential Manager

Jennifer Hall has been a part of the DSJC family since 2014. First providing care as a Direct Support Professional and now as the Day Services Manager. She is excellent at providing creative ways for our clients to have fun and learn new life skills.

-Jennifer also enjoys spending time with her 2 kids, watching movies and listening to music.

Danye'l Monaghan
Day Services Manager

Danye'l has been  a part of DSJC for over 14 years. She was a DSP for many of those years  and eventually assumed the role of Day Services Manager.  She has a passion for providing the individuals she serves with fulfilling life experiences, utilizing her talent of creativity by organizing agency floats for local parades and public service ideas.... She is lso known as the prankster of DSJC.

Chris Heineken
Facilities Manager

Chris has worked at DSJC throughout most of his adult life. Starting as a DSP in 2005 he has always loved working with the I/DD community. Chris has pursued education and other career opportunities, but he is always drawn back to DSJC. Chris has been married to his wife Lindsey for nearly 20 years and has two children, Logan (18) and Madeline (16). In his spare time Chris enjoys playing guitar and singing. He formed a music duo, The Copper Petals in 2018. He is also a founding member of The Laura Golden Experience (2020).

 

Chris loves his job. It allows him to be creative, work with his hands and serve a wonderful community of individuals. Over the last 17 years, Chris has watched DSJC grow into a meaningful place for our consumers and staff to live and work. He is excited for the future of DSJC.

Brandon Statler
Executive Assistant/ Representative Payee

Brandon has over 13 years of experience providing care for individuals with physical and Intellectual disabilities. He joined DSJC in September of 2014 and was a Direct Support Professional for the company for 7 1/2 years.

He is now the Executive Assistant/Representative Payee.

He is in charge of keeping track of consumer finances, DSJC Social media management, graphic design and website design.

He has been married to his wife, Keisha for 12 years.

- in his free time he enjoys creating art such as sketching, graphic design, Singing and playing guitar in his band, "Eleven After" and is drumming at CLJC Church in Horton, KS.
